The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 6:19); thus, our physical education program addresses the whole child, from personal health to physical activity.

We strive to help the child:

GRADES K-2

GRADES 3-4

  • More advanced skills

  • Sports lead-up skills

  • Gross motor skills

  • Balance

  • Effects of exercise on heart, lungs, joints, and muscles

  • Fitness evaluations


GRADES 5-6

 

Emphasis:

  • Lifetime physical fitness

  • Health awareness

  • Mastering basic sport skills

  • Muscle groups

  • Physiology of the cardiovascular system

GRADES 7-8

Students are offered a variety of P.E. electives from which to choose. Emphasis is placed on lifetime fitness skills regarding a particular activity or theme.
